The entire family will enjoy the bright, open, airy floor plan of this spacious home. There is room for everyone to have their own private space, or commune together for family time. The great room boasts large windows, a cozy sectional sofa, and a big-screen TV to watch your favorite shows after a fun-filled day at the beach. There is a large dining table and breakfast bar with plenty of seating to serve up your favorite meals breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Escape to the loft just a few steps off the kitchen where you'll find a sofa and chair to snuggle up with your favorite book, or simply enjoy the scenery while surrounded by windows with views of beautiful blue skies and green trees. There is also a desk if you need to jump on your laptop to check your email or touch base with work. The kids will enjoy another family room area on the middle level to watch TV, play games, or simply chill and relax. There are two master suites with decks, one leading to the hot tub where you can soak your worries away and transition into a vacation state of mind. The third king bedroom shares a bathroom with the mid-level family room but the connecting door could be locked to possibly make another master suite. In addition to the indoor comforts of this home, you'll want to take advantage of the outdoor community amenities! Located in the exclusive Pine Island development, this home is only 150 feet from the community pool and tennis courts. Pine Island also offers biking and jogging paths, a children's playground, and a basketball goal. Community pool dates are 5/20/23 – 9/29/23 2024: TBD, Hours 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. The fall pool hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

"My family had a great time in OBX. The house was spacious and clean. The house is well kept and matched the pictures online. The floor was a little sandy when we arrived but we also found sand is bound to get in when you’re going back and forth from the beach. The rooms are big as well as some of the bathrooms. The outside shower was great for after the beach. My family was very comfortable sleeping, hanging out and cooking. Short walk to the beach and community pool. Lots of space for the kids to play in the living area. We would come back!"

"Shoreline always does a good job. The house was very nice except for the blinds. Some pieces of the blinds that were on the windows to the decks were missing pieces and we had to put blankets up at the windows to ensure privacy. Also, some of the Venetian blinds at the window were a bit unsightly, with twisted or broken pieces."

"The proximity to the beach and pool were a great plus to this home. However, it felt like a mass rental home. The home is lacking and needing some serious TLC. The shower curtain liners are the thinnest I have ever seen or felt. There were a ton of cob webs in the corners of multiple rooms. Several blinds were missing slats and torn. The kitchen is not well equipped. There wasn't even a bottle opener or wine key. Those are basic staples to every rental I have ever been in. The pots and pans mediocre. The bed my husband and I slept on was extremely uncomfortable and the sheets provided were paper thin. This home for our entire party left a lot to be desired."

"Our family (8 adults and 5 kids) had a great time at this house. Each room has it's own bathroom which is very nice. The common areas are great size with plenty of room to eat and play. The walk to the beach is very easy and close which we all loved. The house cleaners definitely missed some sand throughout the house which we swept up the first day. We did experience some bugs in the basement level as well, which I understand is hard to avoid, but definitely a consideration if you're thinking of renting. Otherwise the house felt overall clean. If you're looking for a good house with plenty of room to hang out this is a great option. It's not modern updated (pictures are accurate) but a good house. We would stay here again."

Only complaint is that the house had a millipede and spider issue on the ground floor that bothered some of the kids who were using those rooms. Not a huge deal, though. Would return!"

"There was a lot to like about Flyway - close proximity to pool and beach as advertised, discounted rate with VayK Gear for renting beach gear, on-site hot tub and a variety of sleeping arrangements. However, maintenance (not cleaning) of unit was less than expected. Examples - broken deck furniture and hot tub cover, broken lock on 1/2 bath, black mold on high chair, missing shower doors replaced with shower curtains, cracked window shades repaired with duct tape, etc. We realize these are high use units not always occupied by groups caring for them like they would their own vacation home, but felt it fell below acceptable standards compared to prior VRBO units we have rented."

"This house was perfect for our group! The location to the beach and pool were great. The amenities were great. My only suggestion would be for new knives and large cutting boards to be added. The new floors and new furniture were a great addition. Some minor repairs and updating need to be made, but overall it was great. Would also suggest a new washer, as the spin cycle is not sufficient - this would greatly improve the energy & cost efficiency in the home. Shoreline was a great rental company to work with. Communication was easy and efficient."

"This home was perfectly located in Pine Island. The beach access was just a short walk. The community amenities were awesome! Some updates have been made to the house and some still need to be made but overall it was a great house for the price. Could use a large cutting board and sharp knives, otherwise perfectly equipped. Would highly recommend the rentals that are offered with the rental company. The community pool areas were great, with most of the homes having pools, you had the whole area to yourself. "My family and I came to spend a long needed vacation together. The house has plenty of space, and nice big bathrooms. Kitchen is well appointed. Towels and sheets provided. Not a complaint, but for some reason, I thought the house was ocean front. It is about a 5 minute walk from the house to the actual beach, but it is an easy walk. We had some household issues, but the response time was super quick and maintenance took care of the problem in a very quick manner. One very small comment would be that it would have been nice to have a broom and a dustpan to keep up with sand that would sometimes get tracked into the house. All we had to sweep in the house were vacuum cleaners. Corolla is a beautiful place to stay, and Flyway was a great place for our visit!"

"I will say I was a bit bothered by the fact that I stayed with Cove reality a few years back.. we literally payed half of what we paid at this house… that cove reality house was SUPER clean.. there wasn’t mold on the shower curtains like there with with this company. Not to mention cock roaches running all over the inside of this house… to the point we had to check bedding every night… we got bothered 3 different times within the first 5 days of being there.. one was someone wanting to paint a bedroom… (tacky to say the least) another was a guy who wanted to put tablets in the hot tub… and another was a guy who wanted to change air filters! But I think the topping on the cake was when we were told to sweep and vacuum each floor.. yet they left an envelope for us to tip the cleaning people… umm not happening when I have to do the majority of the cleaning"

"Best weather ever at the OBX. Around 80 and sunny every day. Stayed with my 4 children (14 to 21, two boys and two girls) and our dog. Everyone loved the beach, shelling on South Beach, The Wright brothers memorial, golfing and a shrimping trip. First time we stayed for 2 weeks and it was the perfect time to stay. "House was pretty nice, and large enough for all of us. Kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Only concerns are that the outside of the house needs a good powerwashing, the deck is unusable for days after rain (deep puddles form) and the internet went out on our second day and never came back on, despite several calls to the property manager and internet provider. Nobody's fault really, but it was frustrating."

"This house is in a wonderful location. It’s walking distance to the pool and beach. There are a few grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The house needs a few renovations. But, it was perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable. There are showers and jacuzzi bath tubs in the main bedrooms. The jacuzzi outside is clean and relaxing. There is a grill, if you want to use. There are outdoor showers you can use to rinse off coming in from the beach. We had a lovey time."

The interior of the house could use some updating, nothing was broken, just dated. Shoreline property management was very responsive to answer questions or address the minor issues we experienced. We stayed for 2 months (October and November). I would not hesitate to rent through Shoreline again in the future."

"House needs some updating and renovation but when traveling with a large group with young kids, it's perfect. Some blinds were broken and towel racks loose or broken but the house is in a perfect location! Near pool and beach and the set up is quite nice for a large group. Although the house isn't perfect you don't feel like you are living in a museum and the kids can run and play without fear of breaking valuables. We enjoyed the week very much and at the end of the day, no one is going to look back and say...that would have been a great trip if the blinds were new and the kitchen was renovated. Great location, great set up and great house!"

"We spent a wonderful week together with my 3 sons and families. There was plenty do even with the C19 restrictions. The bike and equipment rentals were used extensively and both kids and adults were able to substitute activities. The house was in great condition, cleaned decks and a functioning charcoal grill as well as a receptive maintenance staff who changed air filters at our request and resupplied bedding. Harris Teeters was well stocked and observed P guidelines."

"Stay was an enjoyable experience. Location close to beach access and community pool and facilities. Overall, the layout and house furnishings were nice and generally clean. However, house is in need of a few weeks of basic maintenance. Cabinet knobs loose, cabinet doors doors not aligned, door knobs loose, light bulbs needing replacement, no hose on outdoor faucet, upper deck does not drain off, outdoor furniture and railings need fixing, some kitchen equipment filthy or needing replacement, batteries missing from remote controls, etc."

"We were very hesitant to rent Flyway after looking at the many negative reviews but its last minute availability, price and location, along with a pleasant conversation with a Shoreline OBX representative, convinced us to take a chance. We had a GREAT week at Flyway and our party of ten cooked, ate, barbecued and socialized in a house that had plenty of room for the group and also areas where the teens and adults had their own spaces. We found the kitchen to have everything we needed to produce big family dinners; the beds and linens seemed new; and the bathrooms were all functioning and met our needs. There were minor issues (the dishwasher did not work and the outdoor shower lacked a shower head) but my retort to the negative reviews: If you expect the Ritz Carlton, then go to a Ritz Carlton. Flyway was an excellent house that made our vacation epic."

"We arrived with all 5 of our kids, my Dad, stepmom and her grandson plus my best friend with his two boys...and we had enough room for everone to have a bed. The house was great, very spacious and comfortable and the proximity to the beach was within perfect walking distance even for my 4 year old son and the rest of us loaded down with beach gear. The only gripe that we had was the kitchen. Not the space itself so much as the quality of the utensils that are provided. Now I understand that this is a vactation rental so I"m not expecting top of the line stuff here but seriously, the house really needs at least a full set of DECENT pots and pans and someone needs to sharpen the knives in the drawer. I had trouble cutting a tomato. For some this may be a complete non issue if you plan on eating out at restaurants every day. However, we have a family that does have some particular dietary needs so we prepare almost all our own meals. And it saves a whole lot of money when you're feeding 10 plus people. Oh yeah, and the house needs a dustpan for sweeping out the remnants of the beach that you bring back with you."

"Overall, we had a great experience. The house was large, close to the pool and beach and in a convenient location. The pictures of the inside of the house were very accurate as were the descriptions of location to beach and pool. The house was clean and the interior well maintained. The only negative is the outside area is very overgrown making the overall look of the house less appealing than the pictures. In addition, it was in need of exterior paint. The outside of the house did not look like the pictures. But, this was just cosmetic-- the house was great and we had a excellent week."

"We had a family of 10 of all ages stay here. Plenty of room to spare. Three levels of house, so it never felt crowded. There were two very large decks, one with a hot tub that was used a lot. The location was perfect for us. It was a very quick walk to the pool/clubhouse/playground and also a short walk to the beach. It's also a nice neighborhood to take a walk/jog/bike ride and to walk the family dog. This house is close to shoppes, restaurants and a local Food Lion. We didn't find a lot of local restaurants with great reviews, so we did end of driving to Kitty Hawk & Kill Devil Hills a lot for dinner (but it is a quick 30 minute drive with many sights to see on the way). The one place I would recommend locally in Corolla is Urban Kitchen. It's right next to Duck Donuts (also a must try!). It's a very small place and not ideal for large groups, but my husband and I went here one nite just the two of us and the food/service was absolutely fabulous. As far as the house goes, it was well stocked. We did find the utensils/appliances to be a little outdated & had trouble with the stove working properly. It really wasn't a huge deal since we brought paper plates & plastic cups/utensils anyway. The outdoor grill was also pretty small and outdated (you need to buy coals) and located in a weird spot behind the house. We only used it once. The one thing we all agreed on (all 10 of us) was that the mattresses were way too hard and uncomfortable. After a day full of sun and beach though, we were able to sleep just fine. Overall, would recommend this property. It's a beautiful home in a great location. Definitely look forward to going back to OBX again soon!"

"Everything was wonderful except we feel the TVs need a little updating. No one could watch TV in their bedrooms because there was no cable, and if there was, it was very poor quality and was just gray fuzz. The TVs in the house are very outdated except for the one in the downstairs living room which doesnt fit as many people as upstairs. We are there for the beach and not really there to watch TV, but at night time when we are relaxing, it would be nice to have a better TV to watch. Also, the cable would go out and the screen would go black...then a minute or two later, it would come back on. Time to upgrade! We would take walks at night and see all of the other houses with nice clear TVs and flat screens. May switch houses next year."
