"This is the fifth year we've stayed at this home. It is perfect for multigenerational families. Is it especially nice to have the playground and volleyball court in the back. It's a short five minute walk to the beach and easy enough to carry everything you need in a wagon. "This was our family's 5th vacation in OBX and we all decided it was the best ever! The house was great! The openness of the kitchen/dining/living area was wonderful! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed - and the some! The proximity to the beach was great and we were able to ride bikes and golf cart to shop and explore! We loved the short walk to the beach since we went in the morning/afternoon and then again at dusk to look for crabs. The location in Corolla was great as we could walk or bike everywhere. "The house was great for our family beach trip! The location to the beach via the walkway is great! It’s also an easy bike ride to Timbuck II, Food Lion plaza, and the Currituck light house. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the pool and pool table. We thought that a few umbrellas or an awning by the pool would have been nice for some shade. It was extremely hot while we were there! Overall we had everything we needed in this spacious and well-appointed beach house!"

"This property was in a great location and was a fantastic space for a large family gathering! We had 18 people ranging in age from 76 to 5. The common space was sufficient and very nicely set up to accommodate all of us. There was ample parking for our 6 vehicles. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the room set up was perfect. The pool was awesome and very well maintained. The walkway to the beach was just steps from the driveway. Communication with Shoreline OBX was easy, helpful and friendly. When we arrived, the dryer was broken, and they promptly sent someone to fix. It was a fantastic experience, and everyone had a great time! Thank-you!"

"Family vacation with 7 boys ages 8- 25 and this house was perfect. These boys are active and don't just want to sit on a beach all day long. This house provided constant activity. Family tournaments of sand volleyball, billiards games, set up pickle ball in the driveway, horse shoes with grandpa, and a swing set for the 8 year old. All the teens took the bedrooms on the ground floor-- so they could stay up as late as they wanted hanging out without worrying about waking up grandma and grandpa. It was perfect. We never went out to dinner with the large kitchen and grill available. The house had several items that we never expected for it to have. We have done house rentals before and this house had EVERYTHING. I even brought things from my own home that I expected to need, and the house had them. For example, this house had plasticware for left overs! I brought my own because they never have this item. This house also had dishwasher pods and laundry detergent available. Amazing. "It was a very nice house. Adequate number of bedrooms for all guests. Pool was nice and clean. Needed some maintenance on the pool and they were there within a couple hours. Just wish it was a little closer to the beach. It was rather inconvenient for the walking beach access to be closed. "Shoreline's service team is impressive! Our trip was originally scheduled for May to celebrate our parents' 80th birthdays with extended family in 2 other houses. Due to COVID, like the multitude of renters, we had to move to a later date. Despite our many calls, many questions and several changes, each associate was polite, informative, and reasonable. The virus has put all of us on edge, but the staff at Shoreline was so understanding.. Instead of a hassle, it was a pleasure! Oom at the Edge is a great house with tons of room a pool, hot tub, volleyball and basketball court for family fun.. The inside could use a little TLC, but we would definitely stay there again."

"My children are all grown and have children of their own. I struggled most of their lives but now I was in a place to have our first ever vacation! The home was a perfect mahout for a large group. The pool is not to deep that we had to watch every second like a hawk. The kitchen was perfect for big meals and the walkway to the beach was across the street! It took our group 7 minutes to walk! I was so impressed with the cleaning crew as well. They asked if I had questions and were very detailed. "This house is beautiful and has plenty of room to bring extended family and friends. We stayed at the end of summer (late August) and enjoyed fantastic beach weather. The location is further north in Corolla which has both positives and negatives. It was great to be away from the main tourist traps and the city of Corolla has everything needed for a home away from home. The only negative is the traffic getting to the location. You will spend some time in traffic if you catch it at the wrong time. If you're interested in a get away without worrying about being too far from usual amenities, this place is perfect. We were at the beach or in the pool & hot tub everyday. We grilled a few times and cooked family meals. The kitchen is well equipped. Kids were never bored and there are plenty of things to do in the local area. We para-sailed, played putt-putt, paddle boarded, surfed, shopped at outlets in Kitty Hawk, ate at some fantastic local restaurants, and made awesome memories with the extended family. This was our first time vacationing in OBX and this experience convinced us to do this again in the future. No issues with the house or the management staff. Overall easy and fun vacation!"

"This house is wonderfully tended, has virtually everything a family gathering (we had 20 - grandchildren to great-grandparents) would need. It's a short hike to the beach and everyone had a great time. If there is any drawback, it is the third floor "great room" was part of the dining room so was a bit small for everyone to gather unless everyone was eating and the pool could get a bit cluttered if everyone was ready for a dip. Otherwise, it was ideal. Otherwise, it was golden!"

Reviewer Comments: When you pick a house in OBX for Thanksgiving week, you are not looking for Oceanfront or a swimming pool but you do want a hot Tub and working fireplace. Got the hot tub but the fireplace never worked. We were told on Sat. When we moved in that a part was on order and would be there early in the week. Numerous calls on my part later, the fireplace tech came out on wed to say the part has been back ordered for a month and he has no idea when it will be in!"

Everyone had room to spread out, there was lots of great furniture on the decks and around the pool, and the kitchen was the best-stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental. We were initially disappointed that paper products were not provided, but that disappointment was definitely offset by our delight with how well the house was furnished and stocked. The house is nicely located right next to the path that leads to the beach, making it less of a trek than some of the other properties. I am looking at the photo as I write this review, and I wish I could walk back up those front steps again! We loved this house! In spite of all the rain, we had a great vacation!"

The doors on ground floor leading to the pool were broken and very hard to use. The house was not cleaned as well as it should have been. We had issues with left trash and the awful smell. We discovered a leak in ceiling in laundry room and reported to office and quick response was given and the issue was fixed. The house is a lovely home and we did enjoy the kitchen and the family room. Access to the beach is good."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house....2 glitches.... Filters of air conditioners were filthy but response was within 2 hours fixing the problem.... Second problem was expensive items left behind....cannot figure where the items would disappear since we knew where we left them...."

"Everything about this home was great! The size and layout was perfect for our group of 10, but the house can indeed hold quite a few more people, our party was just smaller than expected. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, including dog bowls (which as a pet owner I appreciated greatly and didn't expect) They have a great selection of chairs and outdoor necessities in their shed. The pool was on the small side so that was one of our only criticisms. Also the walkway to the back of the house is open and having a dog, having a gate would have been ideal. Otherwise the house was great and I would recommend it for smaller groups!"

"From arrival to departure this was a great experience. Sign in was easy. Home was spotless. Every amenity we could want. We had 2 days that were rainy and we made use of the movie room & billiard table to while away the time. We had 15 persons for a 4 generations family vacation and everyone was wondering how we were ever going to top this VRBO home and vacation! As my granddaughter said - 'best vacation EVER'!"
