Description

Unlike many other condo buildings in Orange Beach, Wind Drift is on a stretch of quite private beach. Neighboring a nature preserve, this beach will never be overcrowded, providing a safe and unspoiled beach for families and children. Wind Drift is a low density building with only seven floors, allowing elevators to travel fast and your wait time to be short. Our amenities include a large outdoor pool, pickleball, boat/jet ski parking, and a pier with boat/jet ski slips available to guests at a small fee. The setting of this condo is perfect, located just across from Perdido Pass on Perdido Key and Ono Island Bridge. You will enjoy all the wide open space you can imagine. Enjoy boating and fishing on Ole River, with boating slips at your disposal. Championship golf courses, great deep sea fishing, and fabulous dining are just a few of the things that await you.

Our two bedroom/two bath, top floor, Gulf front condo is a perfect spot for your family vacation. This is an extra spacious, top floor unit is furnished with top of the line furniture and professionally decorated. Our larger than average private balcony is a great spot to hang out and enjoy the gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit sleeps six. This newly renovated condo has a fully equipped kitchen, a gorgeous dining room, wet bar, and den. The kitchen is well stocked and very spacious. We have a comfortable dining table and eat-in-bar with comfortable stools. Our beautifully custom furnished bedrooms are spacious with inviting comfortable beds. We have a great King bed in the master, two twin beds in the guest bedroom. For your convenience, we also offer a pack-n-play, high chair, and booster seat. We provide TVs in all bedrooms and high speed Internet access so you can stay connected!

Any reservations made prior to October 1st for the Winter Season (January and February) require a 60 day (two month) minimum. Reservations made that do not meet this criteria are subject to cancellation by management. After October 1st, reservations may be made for the winter months at a minimum of three or seven nights, depending on unit specifications.

Parking Passes are required and may be purchased upon arrival or by contacting our office directly. You must purchase each parking pass. You can have only 2 parking passes per reservation. 2 cars maximum.
Linens are provided however, please bring your own beach towels
The reservation includes a "starter set" of hand soap, 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, 1 trash bag per trash can, and 1 roll of paper towels.

"The room was clean and the beach access was easy. It would have been just fine, but I received no less than 12 emails from the property group the day before I left and the on the day I was driving. While driving, I received alerts that they were going to cancel my reservation if I didn’t stop and send a picture of my drivers license. I got another notice with the same threat about something else. Once we checked in and drove to the condo I had to go online and pay for a parking pass as I sat at the entrance with cars behind me waiting to get in. The link didn’t work so I had to call and get help to get buzzed in. Property management for the condo said if I didn’t get it figured out within 30 minutes I’d not receive a code to get back in if I left again. It seemed rude and aggressive, especially since when I checked in they handed me my paperwork and said I was all set. I clearly was not. I think that the communication was excessive, could have been done in one or two emails and was utterly frustrating. The room itself was clean and smelled faintly of bleach when I got there. It was a nice condo and I have no criticism of the room whatsoever, but it’s not like it was the finest condo on the beach and I’ll not be back because I felt like I had to jump through hoops to get there. I also booked through the VRBO website because I was under the misunderstanding I was renting directly from the owners-not a rental company that couldn’t get their act together."

"6 days before we were to arrive for our vacation, the owner of the condo "bumped" us from our stay. we were told the condo was in perfect shape, the owner just chose to cancel our stay. Sad to say that I hear this happens a lot when the owner wants to stay or can make more money. Thankfully, we were able to make other arrangements and got to be on the beach."

"This week, this condo was almost perfection! The condo was just as described. Super clean! Very convenient. The location-next to the state park is amazing! I was looking for a relaxing-uncrowned beach and that's exactly what this location provides! If I have to find any negatives about the condo, it's that the sofa is extremely uncomfortable. That's my only complaint-if you can even call it a complaint…. most time is spent out on the beautiful beach so who really cares about a sofa! Would also be nice to have a door code or lock box so that two trips to the rental office don't have to be made."

"Beautiful views, very nice and clean condo. Had a great vacation staying at this condo. Would definitely stay here again. The only con about this place is that we arrived after dark. The name on the building is not illuminated and even with the driving directions had a little trouble finding the correct building. Once we found the condo, there are 2 buildings with the same name but no direction as to which building we were staying in. There are no markings to identify this condo in the dark."

"The condo was nice. We were disappointed that we couldn't use the tennis courts. There was never a security guard there so we could ask questions. There was not enough parking. We felt that all the additional fees we had to pay were excessive. It's very inconvenient to have to drive 15-20 minutes to drop off keys at your office. Most units have the keypads on the doors. Thank you!"

"The condo looks to be newly updated and overall we enjoyed our stay. There were just a couple of things that need to be addressed. The living room furniture is the first thing that needs to be changed. Outdoor patio furniture is not what you want to relax on in the condo. They need to get actual living room furniture. Also, they need to get new balcony furniture. Most people that rent on the beach enjoy sitting out and eating on the balcony or just sitting out there relaxing. You could not do that with the furniture that is currently there."

"This is a beautiful and modernly decorated condo. With just a few adjustments it could be great. The living room furniture is actually hard patio furniture. After a long day at the beach, there is no where to get comfortable. We were wanting to watch a movie together that night. Even my 10 year old was asking why the furniture is so hard. We eventually gave up and just went to bed. Also, blackout curtains are very much needed in the bedroom near the entrance. There is a bright corridor light that shines in. We had to hang up a blanket to help. We also found a ball and crayons in the living room on the floor. We are wondering how clean it actually got before we arrived. Like I said, it is a beautiful condo. We would stay at Wind Drift again, but probably not this specific unit."

"This condo was perfect for our spring trip. Each room is very spacious and decorated beautifully, with lovely furniture, bedding and drapes in each room. The kitchen is well appointed and spacious. The balcony is huge and provides a beautiful view from the living area as well as the master bedroom. We appreciated the owner's allowing us use of his beach chairs and umbrella. Everything was clean and well maintained on the property. We liked that we were in a less crowded area outside of Gulf Shores. We ate in a lot and enjoyed fresh local catch from Boudreaux's in Gulf Shores. We've already recommended the property and hope to return!"
